The 2009
Connecticut SWAT Challenge will be held August
25th-27th!
Unlike other events, all of our events are
head to head, live fire and in full call out
gear. No T-Shirts. No soft body
armor worn over a t-shirt. No shorts.
Our SWAT Competitors wear everything right
down to ballistic helmets and drop holsters.
Additionally, this event is run by SWAT Cops
(the West Hartford Police Department) for
SWAT Cops. We don't over-charge our
sponsors, vendors and teams and we haven't
raised prices from 2008. We are not a
private organization looking to pad our
pockets. What we are is a group of SWAT
Operators who try to put on the best SWAT
training event in the Country, while
treating our teams and supporters like gold.
This year we will again welcome 100 vendors,
hold open shoots for all law enforcement,
military and corrections and we will easily top
the $110,000 in
prizes and
law enforcement equipment that our wonderful
sponsors and vendors donated in 2008.

Congrats to all who had the guts to compete, and
for those who didn't, well there is always 2009
if you think you have what it takes.......
For many years in the tactical community in
the Northeast, SWAT Operators have spoken of
the importance of having joint SWAT training
and SWAT competitions. The intrinsic value
of SWAT Challenges can be measured on a
variety of levels. Tactics, movement
techniques, equipment trends, professional
contacts, inter-agency familiarization,
fitness levels and shooting proficiency are
just a few of the areas that can be
positively impacted by a SWAT Challenge...Learn

We would like to thank our
2009 Connecticut SWAT Challenge
Sponsors. They are the best
that law enforcement has to offer.
They make some of the most
practical and technologically
advanced products used by SWAT
Operators across the country.
We are so excited to have these
great companies on board and
greatly appreciate their support!
These companies have committed to
supporting all of us, the SWAT
community. Without them, we could
not hold this exciting and
rewarding training event.
Make sure you stop by August 25th,
26th and 27th to see all of
these companies reps and their top
flight products.
The
Vendor Show is FREE and open to

The 4th annual Connecticut SWAT
Challenge is over and the SWAT
community in the northeast should be
thrilled with their accomplishments.
In just our fourth year, we increased
the number of participating teams to
33, which makes it the 3rd largest
SWAT competition in the United
States. SWAT teams from CT,
NJ, MA, RI as well as State
Police ERT units, Department of
Corrections SOG's, United States
Army and Air Force units and the
Federal Bureau of Prisons all
participated in this event. 2008
ushered in some great innovations
and unique events in order to create
the best SWAT Challenge in the
United States. There were 8
events in this years' challenge,
highlighted by the most grueling
physical fitness challenge in
ANY
SWAT or police event in
America. This 5.7 mile PT
challenge had 24 testing stations
along the course which were all
designed to test the physical and
mental fortitude of the operators.
There was an IR illuminated Night
Stalker Shoot, as well as 3 separate
sniper initiated challenges. The
Patriot3 platform was used, as was a
50 foot lull to test our snipers,
which are some of the top in the
country. Unlike so many
"competitions" our SWAT Operators
competed in full duty gear, to
include entry vests with level 4
plates, Ballistic helmets, BDU's and
tactical holsters. Over 85
vendors and sponsors came to support
these Operators and they gave away
over $110,000 in product to them!
Yes, that's
right, our vendors and sponsors GAVE
AWAY $110,000 in prizes
to include rifles, handguns, medical
gear, ballistic shields, entry
vests, equipment cases, optics, and
a slew of other top flight products.
Find out why this is the one SWAT
Challenge in the USA that every team
and law enforcement company should
attend ...
